Adam Brown, founder of Wick

About

Adam Brown, founder.

Twenty-five years in IT, from writing the code to running the department. Adam founded Wick for businesses that need that experience but not a full-time hire.

Adam started as an applications developer at Rayonier, a global timber company, spent four years consulting for small and mid-size businesses, then returned to Rayonier and rose to Director of IT (2016–2025). He ran a 22-person team in two countries, a $10M budget, and the move to AWS, a new network, a new general ledger and a company-wide AI rollout.

He founded Wick in 2025 so smaller businesses can get that experience without a full-time hire. He leads every engagement, still writes code, and is a Lean Green Belt.

The person who scopes your project is the person who leads it.
