Work

Projects that went live.

One project told in full, then the rest of the record. Each one ends with what it means for a business your size.

Case study · Rayonier · Cloud migration

Moving a company off its own servers, and saving $300K a year.

The problem

Rayonier ran on physical servers it owned and maintained. Growing meant buying more hardware, and redundancy and disaster recovery were harder and costlier than they needed to be.

The decision

Adam led the move to AWS: choosing the migration partner, building the plan for what moved when, and running the cutover.

The result

The cutover landed, and the company saved more than $300K a year with better scalability, redundancy and disaster recovery than the data center ever had.

What it means for you

Your servers might be a closet, not a data center, but the questions are the same: what to move, what to retire, what it will really cost each month, and how to switch over without a bad Monday.

More of the record

Small-business consulting · 2003–2007 Between his two stretches at Rayonier, Adam spent four years at Creativity Point building custom software and advising small and mid-size businesses, owning scope, budget and delivery. It's how Wick works today.

We build the fix

Not just recommend it.

Most IT advisors stop at the slide deck. When the right answer is a small tool, we build it.

Private CRM on AWS

A single-page CRM with secure sign-in, encrypted storage for every contact, and a website form that creates leads on its own. It deploys with one command.

For you: a simple system of record without another monthly subscription.

This site's back office

The contact form, booking and assistant behind this site run on small serverless functions we built.

For you: automation that's cheap to run and simple to own.
